Sanskrit Sādhakas

Wish you had some Sanskrit playmates? Some Sanskrit geeks who don't take themselves too seriously but love to play with the language? Come join us for some word play! We meet once a week to puzzle over ślokas and talk philosophy of yoga, ayurveda, jyotish, inner alchemy and tantra.  You must have basic knowledge of Sanskrit.  If you're a newbie, no worries!  We're a laid back bunch.  We usually translate 2-3 ślokas a week, and sometimes work on grammar topics from textbooks.
THIS IS NOT A CLASS - It's a chance for Sanskrit nerds to get together over translation.

We're currently working on the Maurer textbook, and have a guest Sanskritist for the summer taking us through scholarly articles on Sanskrit translation and grammar

Meeting Thursdays 8am PST / 11am EST usually 1hr

Diane has been curious about this world and what's beyond our immediate perceptions since her childhood, when she would lie in the wheat fields behind her house staring up at the blue sky, losing all sense of proportion, experiencing being larger than the sky and smaller than a speck of dust simultaneously.  Grace provided her with a fantastic spiritual guide who pointed the way and led her to pursue both inner explorations and outer ones in contemplative methodology, health & healing.  This site is her scholarly explorations.
